Now I will be honest and say...I love any holiday that there's a present involved.
But this hubby of mine, see's no reason to celebrate such days as Sweetest Day and Valentines Day. Unless he is trying to make up for something. lol
Now I have to admit the church had a grown up Valentines Banquet and the Hubby went with it to me. So I think he thinks he is excused from further celebration. Maybe he will surprise me somehow.
I did get him a really sweet card.
Would love to have a sweet card back from him and that would make me happy.
Today, my friends, has been a very busy day. It's already nearing 3pm and soon I will be getting ready for church.
My hubby had a list of stuff (paperwork items) he needed by Monday for a meeting. Looking for those items started a whole bunch of hours (like 4) of filing un-filed paperwork. Making new folders for items that didn't have one. Compiling any other items I know I will need to finish our tax paperwork for this year to hand over to the accountant. Really though, all I end up giving her is the numbers. I do all the work it seems and she just fills in the blank on her system. I know it has to be more in depth then that, but it never seems that way. I'm happy to say that I'm near finished with the taxes this year. I have to make an appt to meet with the accountant though.
Back to those items my husband needed, I've found most of them. The rest I'm waiting on other people to send to me.
I've also been working on getting together the notebooks my hubby uses to record payouts and incomes. This year for him alone so far, he has to have 4 books made up. That's not including the two books I have made already for the property him and I own together.
I've talked to a rep today regarding a 401k I had with the last place I worked. It's been sitting for a long time b/c I haven't worked in a long time. I found out today that I can actually roll over to an IRA. I thought that was really cool. My hubby has one and now I will have one. It's a nice way to save money. I mean it's not a retirement for me b/c I don't work, but who knows, maybe 20 years from now it will be a nice amount and I can do something great with it. (like pay for kids college)
That's all for now, I've got to go finish making Chicken -n- dumplin's. mmm-good!
